LORETTA L. BOLYARD, PHD
Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Bolyard specializes in the assessment of individuals with a range of acquired neurological conditions, including brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, and dementia, as well as other complex medical issues that impact cognition and mood. Her practice also encompasses forensic evaluations, such as independent medical evaluations (IMEs), cognitive assessments for guardianship proceedings, and general forensic psychological assessments, including fitness to proceed and mental disease/defect evaluations.
Dr. Bolyard served on the MT Board of Psychologists from 2018 to 2023, with the last four years as Chair. She is also the President-Elect of the Montana Psychological Association (2024) and is passionate about Butte, serving in local leadership roles as well.
Dr. Bolyard earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from the University of Montana in 2011, while also completing a Master’s degree in Cellular Neuroscience. She then moved to Seattle, where she pursued additional training in neuropsychological assessment at the Puget Sound VA. Afterward, she transitioned to private practice, receiving further supervision under a board-certified forensic neuropsychologist. In 2014, Dr. Bolyard returned to Montana, where she and her husband, Darren, opened MWPR. She currently serves as the Clinical Director.
